Equipped with a Nikon still camera, multiple computers, and a Canon XL2 video camera. Discs can be made on archival quality media for longer life, for an additional charge.
One important part of our service is our discretion. If you have valuable antiques and jewelry in your collection, the last thing you need is someone telling all of their associates about your items. At Sarasota Appraisal Services, we know you are concerned about the safety of your posessions. No one will hear a word of your business.
Our ethics are beyond reproach. We will never expect to buy any of the items we have appraised.
Of course, it's important to discuss fees. Our initial hourly fee for photography and examination of your items is $100 per hour (travel time is also billed at the hourly rate). After the items have been photographed, the appraisal will be typewritten and photos will be edited at the hourly rate of $50 per hour.
Video shoots are usually arranged by the hour as well. Video is $100 per hour, and editing for placement on DVD is charged at $40 per hour.
